Local SEO agency for Maps pack that actually rings the phone.

For storefront and service-area brands, Google Business Profile and the Maps pack are the storefront. We treat listings, reviews, and location pages as a lead system — not a citation spreadsheet — in any market where Maps is how buyers find you.

More pack visibility. More calls. Less paid dependence on near-me queries.

Direct answer

What is local SEO?

A local SEO agency treats Google Business Profile, reviews, and location pages as a lead system. SpikeROAS runs Maps pack programs for home services, clinics, hospitality, retail, and professional services — one location or two hundred, in any market where Google Maps is the storefront.

I built this desk because agencies still sell 400-directory packages while the phone stays quiet and paid eats every near-me query. Google is explicit: local results are mainly relevance, distance, and prominence. Categories, reviews, and a real page move two of those. A citation spreadsheet does not.

Local SEO and category SEO are not the same report. Proximity, reviews, and GBP relevance win the pack. Topical authority wins the rest of the SERP. If you are paying for every high-intent local click, the pack is a CAC problem — we run it on the same P&L as paid search.

Fit

Who this local SEO desk is for

Operators who live or die on Maps — a single shop or a multi-location brand — and can take more booked work when the phone rings.

Home services & trades

HVAC, roofing, solar, interiors, cleaning — the pack is the storefront. A thin GBP will not be saved by junk citations.

Clinics & professional services

Healthcare, legal, dental, accounting. Compliant categories, location pages, and review programs that stay inside the rules of the profession.

Multi-location retail & hospitality

Templates that stay unique. Duplicate city pages that Google ignores are not a rollout plan.

Who we will not take

  • Software or ecommerce with no local intent. That is SEO and GEO, not the pack.
  • Fake storefronts for service-area businesses. We build SAB listings correctly — or we walk.
  • Review gating or review buying that violates Google’s policies.
  • A one-week GBP audit with no owner for posts, photos, or the phone.

The leak

What typical local SEO shops get wrong

GBP treated as a listing

Wrong primary category, empty services, leftover photos. Relevance is a weekly job. The pack notices when you treat it as a set-and-forget.

City-page spam

Fifty near-duplicate pages with the city name swapped. Google sits them out. Unique location content is slower. It is also the only version that converts.

Review silence

No ask, no response, no velocity. Prominence is partly reviews. Rivals with a worse product win the pack because they asked.

Citation theater

A thousand directories nobody uses. We clean name, address, and phone on the sources that matter in your market. We do not sell a directory dump.

On the desk

Local SEO workstreams on the desk

Listings, pages, reviews, and tracking — run as a lead system, then paired with paid when organic cannot cover the city yet.

Google Business Profile

Categories, services, products, photos, Q&A, posting cadence. The unglamorous basics, done every week, in the language your market searches.

Location & service-area pages

Unique content sales would send a prospect. Not spun paragraphs. Service-area businesses get honest coverage — not a fake HQ.

Review operations

Ask cadence, response playbooks, and flagging policy issues. Velocity without gating. Fresh reviews are prominence you can actually operate.

Citations

NAP hygiene on the directories that matter where you sell. No 400-listing packages. Apple and Bing stay consistent; Google stays primary.

Local rank & calls

Pack tracking by city and service. Call, direction, and form metrics that match how that location actually sells.

Paid + local + GEO

Local search ads — and Local Services Ads where the product exists — sit next to the pack. We also structure pages so models can name you for near-me questions.

Cadence

How the work runs

01

Clean the listings

Categories, services, photos, hours — the basics most agencies skip.

02

Build the pages

Unique location content that sales would actually send a prospect.

03

Earn the pack

Reviews, relevance, and distance — monitored weekly.

First 90 days

First 90 days in local SEO

Days 1–14

Clean the listings

Categories, services, photos, hours, duplicate profiles. The unglamorous work that moves relevance before anyone writes a city page.

Days 15–45

Build the pages

Location and service-area templates that convert. Internal links from the rest of the site that make sense to a buyer, not a scraper.

Days 46–75

Earn the pack

Review velocity, posts, Q&A. Monitor by city. Fix what Maps is actually punishing — distance you cannot fake, prominence you can earn.

Days 76–90

Operate

A local dashboard: pack, calls, reviews. Category SEO stays a separate scoreboard. Paid only covers the cities organic has not won yet.

Pricing philosophy

No fake menu. An honest gate.

Local SEO pricing follows location count and how broken the listings are — not a cheap GBP-audit upsell.

  • Service-area businesses are scoped correctly. We will not fake a storefront.
  • Multi-location programs need a template system, not 200 one-off pages with no owner.
  • Review software, if needed, is yours — we are not locking you into a widget.

The call

What happens in 30 minutes

  • How many locations, storefront vs service-area, and who answers the phone.
  • Which cities you are already buying in paid — that is often the leak.
  • We will tell you if the work is GBP, pages, reviews, or reputation you cannot outrun this quarter.

Proof we will publish

Case studies live here — with numbers, not adjectives.

Named local seo work is going on Work as we can show it. Until then, ask on the call for the scoreboard in your category. We will not invent logos or fake ROAS.

  • Your ad accounts stay in your name
  • Weekly kill / hold / scale memo
  • A 30-minute working session, not a pitch deck

FAQ

Questions we get about Local SEO

Do you work service-area businesses without a storefront?

Yes. We build service-area pages and Google Business Profile correctly so you are not competing as a fake storefront. Google is not fooled by a mailbox as a headquarters. Distance is still a real constraint — we will say if a city is too far to win.

How is local SEO different from national or category SEO?

Local is proximity, reviews, and Google Business Profile. Category SEO is topical authority. Most multi-location brands need both. We do not collapse them into one report or one retainer that pretends they are the same job.

Do you guarantee the local pack?

No honest shop can. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance, and prominence. We can guarantee a program, a posting and review cadence, and tracking by city — and we will tell you if a market is unwinnable at your reputation.

Can you manage hundreds of locations?

Yes, with a template system, local owners, and exception handling. Enterprise local is operations: hours, photos, reviews, and page uniqueness at scale. It is not a freelancer clicking around Maps once a month.

Do you run paid local ads as well?

When the category and ticket size justify it. Local search ads — and Local Services Ads where Google offers them — sit next to the organic pack. We will not let paid and organic fight for the same call without a read.

What about Apple Maps, Bing, and other directories?

We keep name, address, and phone consistent on the sources that matter in your market. Google Maps remains the primary pack in most countries. We will not sell a seven-platform local package you cannot operate.
